YOGA CLOTHING 101:  What should I bring into the Yoga classroom to be ready for my first class?

A number of clothing lines are available to you at each CorePower Yoga Boutique that are designed to meet your needs in and outside the classroom.  Yoga is a physically demanding practice and you will want to find yoga wear at CorePower Yoga that provides your body the opportunity to move with your practice.  By wearing clothing specifically designed for the practice of yoga, you will benefit from functionality, temperature management, comfort and fashion.  CorePower Yoga offers a variety of clothing options from breathe fit products, to lines constructed from supplex and luon fabrics that will wick sweat from your body and allow you to endure the diverse conditions of the yoga classroom.

At each of our CorePower Yoga studios we have seen a great need for yoga apparel and accessories. Thus, each of our in-studio retail stores carry a wide variety of fit, fabric, function, and fashion for any yogi; especially the yogi drawn to a good sweat! We carry mats that recognize the environment but provide incredible grip, apparel that is highly absorbent as well as fashionable, and accessories that aid your practice anywhere you may be.

Combining this with the advent of Yoga On Demand (which provides yoga instruction to those unable to access a studio), we would like to extend our quality yoga products to all Yogi’s. We feel a yogi’s personality is found in more than just the asana (postures). Our hope is to help meet the needs of those unique personalities through our retail stores and now with the addition of CorePower Yoga’s Online Store.

The best representation of our product mix is definitely in our studio locations; however, we know access to our physical locations can be challenging. Our Online Store will provide product basics for any yoga practitioner, CorePower Yoga’s own line of apparel and accessories, as well as a little Sparkle!

We recognize that this, like anything in life, is a practice, and we will continue to add products to our Online Store in the weeks to come.

Currently all of our products are shipped via UPS, and all shipping costs are automatically calculated based on the weight of your total purchases and the distance the package will travel. You may choose to have your item shipped via UPS Ground, UPS 2nd Day Air, or UPS Next Day Air. Most of our items ship the following business day, if your order is placed before 3pm Mountain Standard Time.

Owner and creator Kiran Rai’s Indian heritage, love for rock & roll and fashion have merged to create a fashion line that promotes global awareness. From the wisdom and beauty of the Raja line, featuring one of a kind art work and Swarovski detail, to the wit and social commentary of the Junglee line, there’s certain to be a piece for every day.

ROSENA SAMMI

Beautifully hand crafted jewelry by Rosena Sammi recently made its’ way into selected CorePower Yoga retail spaces. Rosena Sammi combines her passion for jewelry with her love of history to create glamorous, seductive jewelry reminiscent of the royal courts of India. Opulent and elegant, Rosena integrates traditional Indian elements with a modern aesthetic, resulting in an eye-catching collection of stunning, fine jewelry.

Rosena’s interest in history led her to explore the traditional jewelry styles and techniques of the different regions of India. Traveling through India, Rosena met and worked with leading jewelry artisans, sourcing only the best most beautiful stones from Jaipur for her designs. Inspired by her travels and by the ancient artistry kept alive by the craftsmen she encountered, Rosena translated traditional Indian jewelry into contemporary, wearable art. This culminated in the launching of her collection in 2005.

Rosena hails from Sri Lanka and was born and raised in Auckland, New Zealand. She currently resides in New York.
